Envision Building Group builds decks, patios and outdoor renovations on the Gold Coast. Google Ads ran from April 2025 to April 2026 on about $1,000 a month. Comparing the first four months with the five that followed, leads went from 8 to 14.8 a month and the cost per lead fell from $125 to $66.

Envision Building Group had a new brand and a new website, and wanted a steady flow of enquiries for decks, patios and outdoor renovations without a large media budget. Around $1,000 a month was the ceiling.

At that level there is no room for waste. Every click has to be from someone on the Gold Coast with a project in mind, and every enquiry has to be counted so the budget can be steered towards what works.

Search campaigns launched in April 2025, targeting the Gold Coast and built around deck, patio and outdoor renovation terms. Form enquiries, phone clicks and email clicks were tracked as separate conversions from the start.

Over the following months we cut the search terms that attracted clicks but no enquiries, moved budget towards the ad groups that were producing leads, and refined the ads and landing pages around the jobs Envision most wanted to win.

Comparing May to August 2025 with September 2025 to January 2026, leads went from 8 to 14.8 a month, up 85%, while spend stayed flat at about $1,000 a month. The cost per lead fell from $125 to $66. Form enquiries alone rose from 7 to 9.8 a month, with the cost of each down 30%.

Spring and summer are peak season for decks, and with no earlier year to compare against, some of that lift is the time of year. What the optimisation did was keep the cost per lead falling while the budget stayed the same.

Over the full 12 months the campaign ran, $11,230 in spend produced 122 leads, 87 of them form enquiries, at about $92 per lead.
